Even though August was a holiday month we got a few good opportunities, We were able to present Feelgood centre in some special events.  We have a new therapist Eva Torres joined on board with us.

Eva Torres is from Spain. She started alternative therapies at a difficult moment in her life, She discovered that Reiki as a wonderful therapy for herself. After her first workshop her vision of life changed radically. A lot of changes followed that event. After that, she started a journey that took her through different courses, therapies and countries. She worked in different Holistic Centres, as a therapist and organized courses, now she is a Reiki Master and running Reiki courses by herself.

We are invited to take part in the Weavers Field Food and Culture Festival on 18th September Saturday from 1pm till 4pm, we will be providing some short treatments like head, neck and shoulder massages.

This event is organised by Enterprise Hub of local regeneration charity City Gateway.

James Brock (Physio sports) therapist is doing free 15 minutes massage and postural assessment on Wednesday 29th September 10am - 6pm. Treatments will be on every half hour from 10 am onwards, if you have back pain or any other skeleto-muscular discomfort. Anne qualified as a Massage Therapist in 1990. She later studied Aromatherapy at the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy (ITHMA) and Remedial Massage at the Middx College of Complementary Medicine.  More recently she qualified in The Dorn Method with Brigitte Nath and Thomas Zudrell.  The Dorn Method, a treatment and exercise programme, is a very effective treatment for common back and joint pain.

Anne has practised in gyms, women’s centres and offices in Central London.  Over the years she has also participated in various wellbeing events and been part of the Massage Team at the London Marathon.    From her experience she believes that pain, if not due to injury or trauma, is the result of poor postural habits or too much stress.

THE DORN METHOD has been referred to as a gentle relative of osteopathy.  Although relatively new in the UK, it has been available for over 35 years in mainland Europe and other parts of the world where it is on GP’s referral systems for helping with lower back pain, neck pain, sciatic pain, scoliosis and other spinal imbalances.

MASSAGE is an effective way of preventing, reducing and eliminating pain by identifying and correcting muscle imbalances that give rise to muscle and nerve based pain.
